This is the privacy policy for the Mosfetti website at mosfetti.com. It explains what I collect through this website, why I collect it, and how it is handled. It is written in plain language on purpose.

Who I am

Mosfetti Electronics & Repair is a locally operated computer, phone, game console, electronics, and small-business website service based in Daggett, Michigan. You can reach me at silvers24@gmail.com.

What this website collects

Most of this website can be read without giving me anything. Information is collected only when you choose to send it, plus the ordinary technical records a web server keeps.

Repair request form (repair.php): your name, email and/or phone number, city or town, device type, brand or model, a description of the issue, your preferred contact method, and an optional photo of the device. Your IP address is also hashed (converted into a one-way code) for spam and rate-limit protection.

Website request form (start.php): your name, business name, email or phone, the website or page you want reviewed, what you need help with, what you want the site to do, how you found Mosfetti, and the IP address and browser user-agent string of the request, which are used to prevent abuse.

General contact form (contact.php): your name, email address, the request type you choose, and your message. A copy of the message is stored before it is emailed so a submission is not silently lost.

Server logs and analytics: the web server records ordinary request information such as IP address, time, requested page, and browser type for security and troubleshooting. This website also uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-XC8LR1512D) to understand which pages are useful. Google Analytics uses cookies and may process your IP address and device information on Google's systems.

Cookies and sessions

This website uses a small session cookie to keep forms and admin sessions working. Google Analytics sets its own cookies when analytics is active. The website does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and it does not sell data.

How your information is used

I use what you send to answer your request, arrange a local in-person repair handoff, quote or discuss website work, protect the forms from spam and abuse, and keep the site working. I do not use your information for automated decisions.

Who your information is shared with

I do not sell or rent your information. It is shared only with the services needed to run this site and reply to you: email delivery for notifications, the hosting server for storage and logs, and Google Analytics for aggregated visit statistics. Where a photo is attached, it is stored with the repair request.

How long it is kept

Repair and contact requests are kept while the request is being handled and afterward only as long as needed for follow-up and ordinary business records. Server logs are rotated. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings. You can ask me to delete a request you sent.

Your choices

You can contact me at silvers24@gmail.com to ask what I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also send a request without a photo and with only the contact details you are comfortable providing, and you can block or clear cookies in your browser. Blocking analytics cookies does not stop you using the site.

Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect the information you send, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted server access, and spam controls. No website can promise perfect security, so please avoid sending sensitive information such as passwords or payment card numbers through these forms; I will arrange a safer method if a project needs it.

Children

This website is intended for adults arranging repair or website services and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
